Jackson Finishes First Half With Loss In Danville
The Jackson Rockabillys finish the first half in second place in the South division with a 16-11 record after falling to Danville 3-0 last night. The contest was pushed due to rain and was called after just 7 innings to preserve both squads after the game was understood to have no value as Dubois County had just clinched the division from Danville.
To recap the first half, the Rockabillys began the year with a hot start as Coach Holem's team began the year as the hottest team in the league, capped off by a 7 game winning streak stretching from the end of May to the beginning of June. The Goats have slowed down as of late due to some key injuries but look to rebound in the second half and compete for the second playoff spot for the South Division.
The Rockabillys have capped off their home stands with giveaways and community events for fans of all ages. From 40 oz Yukon Tumblers thanks to Froggy 104 to Caps from our friends at Hiller, the Rockabillys have brought the heat when it comes to free stuff this season.
The second half begins tonight with a double header against Decatur. The first pitch is at 6 pm as the Goats look to rebound in the non conference match up.
