Rockabillys Overwhelmed by Thrillville Relief Pitching
JACKSON, Tenn.- In the penultimate contest of 2025, the Rockabillys traded blows with the Thrillbillies but were eventually silenced by the visitors' pitching prowess, dropping the game 8-3.
The Goats were on the board first, thanks to an RBI single from Drew Blalock with two outs that plated Gregory Berroa. Thrillville immediately responded in the ensuing from with a two-run shot over the Blue Monster, as the lead would exchange hands for the first time.
It wouldn't take long for Jackson to respond though, as Drew Ripepi and Jake Maddox drove in a run each on some well-placed singles to right and center field.
Now into the fourth, Thrillville wasted no time in knotting the game up at three a piece, and from that moment onward, it would be all Thrillbillies. Jackson did not have a hit after the conclusion of the third. Relief pitching duo of Nate Valles and Alex Holland were instrumental in their roles out of the bullpen, as they combined to account for five and two thirds innings while striking out seven.
The Rockabillys kept the game close until a collapse in the eighth, as Chase Chamberlain had an off-night and allowed four runs to come across on five free passes and a hit. That would turn out to be the dagger, and Jackson fell at home for the tenth time this season.
