Rockabillys' Slide Continues After Shutout Loss to Mill Rats
JOHNSTOWN, Penn.- Jackson's road struggles persisted Thursday evening, and they were shutout in a loss to the Mill Rats in Johnstown 9-0.
The Goats racked up seven hits over the nine innings, but nothing was in unison, and Jackson failed to plate a run. As for the Mill Rats, they were able to spread out the hits, and successfully staved off a 2-for-3 performance from Cade Miles and a pair of 1-for-3 nights from Jake Maddox and Bradey Moad.
The big innings for the home squad was the fifth, where they conjured up five runs, and forced Chase Armstrong out of the game. The trio of Joe Romines, Drew Blalock, and Brooks Jones did what they could to stop the bleeding, but the shorthanded Billys could never overcome the early deficit.
Jackson fell on the road, extending their road losing streak to eight games, and dropping them to 2-8 over the course of their past ten games.
Goats Notes: Another opportunity to change the narrative comes tonight at 6:00 p.m. CDT, once again versus Johnstown.
