HUNTINGBERG, Ind.- In the first game of a week long road trip, the Goats struggled to find their footing and were dealt a 9-1 loss Tuesday afternoon.

Jackson managed three hits throughout the course of the contest, all of which were spread out between the nine innings. Ivan Vega had the biggest hit of the night for the Rockabillys, as he managed to plate a run in the sixth on an opposite field single that scored Charlie Jury.

Cy Maness was given the start, and he did his best, but unfortunately received little help from his defense. The Goats made a whopping four errors in the contest, adding on three unearned runs during the game. The four errors that were made tied for the most errors the Rockabillys made in a game this season.

Jackson turned to the bullpen, and Matthew Riley along with Bradey Moad both faced their own struggles, mainly with free passes. Jackson racked up 20 strikeouts as a pitching staff, a season high, but similarly walked 11 batters.

So many free bases, too many errors, and not enough offense for the Goats. This combination failed to aid Jackson in their efforts to get back into the win column, and they dropped game one of the trip.

Goats Notes: The Rockabillys head over to Champion City to take on the Kings tonight, with first pitch slated for 5:35 p.m. CDT.
