Rockabillys Fall Short Versus Thrillbillies
JACKSON, Tenn.- In their first opportunity to host Thrillville at Rockabillys Stadium in 2025, the Goats were flustered by an impressive Thrillbillies performance and fell 7-2.
Jackson had a hard time creating momentum at the dish, as they were held hitless through the first four innings of the contest until they finally broke through in the fifth with a Bradey Moad triple that scored Charlie Jury.
By the time the Goats finally got on the board, they had already fallen into a five run hole, and with the offense still shaky, the hope for a comeback seemed bleak.
Unfortunately, the fears of many came true. The Rockabillys found solice in another run thanks to a Cade Miles single that plated Gregory Berroa, but that was it.
The difficulties at the plate were reflected on the mound as well, as Jackson Campbell got touched up and gave up six runs, before the contingent of Chase Armstrong and Jacob Rossi stepped in to halt Thrillville.
The final blow came in the ninth, with the Goats at odds with a potential comeback. Their chances got worse after Ethan Ell allowed a run to score, despite doing his best to work out of a tricky spot. The Rockabillys went down 1-2-3 in the final frame, and that was a wrap on Wednesday nights action.
Goats Notes: The Goats have an opportunity to even up the season series tonight at 7:00 p.m. CDT against Thrillville. As always, festivities at Rockabillys Stadium will be tremendous, with it being First Responders Night at the ballpark, and there will be an appearance from DJ Von!
