Pitts Leads Rockabillys to Dominant Win

JACKSON, Tenn.- The Goats finally got off the struggle bus and handled the REX in a 9-4 victory Saturday night.

Jack Pitts was phenomenal at the dish for the Rockabillys, as he bashed his fourth homer of the year, and finished with a stat line that saw him go 3-for-5 with three RBI.

The Memphis man ignited the offense for Jackson, as after his two-run blast in the sixth, the 'Billys would add on six more.

This included another dinger from Ivan Vega, who likely unloaded the farthest shot of the year. There were also RBI scored by Cameron GreeneCharlie Jury, and Jake Maddox to cap off the multi-inning eight run onslaught.

On the mound, Cooper Casteel shoved once again, but unfortunately failed to record a decision, as he remains 0-0 so far this year. Out of the pen, Jack Mclaury and Joe Romines held off the REX, and helped Jackson cruise to the victory.

Return to Form

It was a refreshing sight for Rockabillys fans, as they saw an all-around performance tonight that they hadn't seen in almost a week. Fans were treated to a pitching staff that only offered up two free passes, and both were hit-by-pitches, while watching two bombs get bashed over the Blue Monster. The 'Billys are now officially 1-0 to begin the second half of the 2025 season.

Goats Notes: The Rockabillys have a chance to sweep the REX here at home with a game tonight, set to start at 7:00 p.m. For the Goats, it is Bluey Night at the ballpark!
